They had vaguely homoerotic interactions.

Connor teamed up with Kyle a lot.

Some very strange things.
I am actually looking forward to posting some pages from the interior of this issue. There is a gratuitous shirtless Connor battle scene. It’s wonderful.

In lieu of a believable (different-gender) love interest, Connor mostly found himself doing strange things to save his Ashram.
I wish I was joking.

Yes, Connor is fighting a giant leopard-man. I believe this was from his first arc in his solo run. (From GA V2 # 102)
All right, an actual cover with Connor on it! And look at that lovely shade of brown. (From GA V2 #98)
Another cover set (from #93 and #94), b/c I’d forgotten that Connor stayed shadowed on the covers for a while. There will be actually visible Connor in the subsequent ones, promise.
So, I’m going to start my Green Arrow V2 scans queueing with literally every cover from GA v2 that had Connor on it, in the first place because it’s totally okay to post that many and in the second place because V2 had the best fucking covers. Connor got gradually paler throughout V2 in the interiors, which is awful, but the covers were just consistently amazing and beautifully done.
This one is actually a two-fer, for the simple reason that I felt weird about not including the cover to Green Arrow V2 #0, where Connor was introduced, in this, but the cover itself does not have Connor (or at least, that better damn well not be Connor). So have the cover for #0, Connor’s first appearance, and for #91, his first appearance on the cover. It should be noted that Connor is here intentionally shadowed, but this is definitely him.
I don’t actually remember what was happening this issue, I think it may have been the introduction of Milo Armitage? But either way, isn’t that a pretty cover? Notice how the lighting in no way makes it impossible to tell that he is not white.
